CLASSES

PUPPYÂ TRAINING
This is an AKC certified program to get your puppy off to a good start. The goal is to coach you on how to train your puppy with the goal of having a good citizen in the future. S.T.A.R stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility. The class covers topics such as puppy behaviors, biting and chewing, socialization correctly, puppy care, and owner responsibilities. We also teach basic commands, sit, down, touch (come), leave it, and focus.
The class is an hour-long 5 class sessions + a special graduation time. We spend ½ the class socializing and teaching the puppies proper play. The other ½ covering puppy basic care and commands.
BASIC OBEDIENCE & MANNERS TRAINING
Suitable for dogs 5 months and up.
This class is for dogs who need to learn the basic commands or who need to learn to do them in a group setting with distractions. This class covers all your basic commands such as sit, down, leave it, drop it, stay and come.
We also cover basic manners, loose leash walking, waiting at the door, no jumping, and correct introductions to other dogs.
THERAPY DOG TRAINING
f you would like to give to others in a way that you and your dog can enjoy together. We are happy to help evaluate and prepare your dog to be a Therapy dog. I am an evaluator with American Therapy Pets. We have just started a Reno/Sparks branch. Check it out at www.americantherapypets.org
SPORT PUPPY AND INTRO TO AGILITY

Are you planning on doing sports, Agility ect with your dog or do you just want to keep building your relationship with your dog. Beginner Sport puppy and foundations/intro Agility are for you. These classes will build on not only your training skills but exercising your dogs in a safe and healthy way. Sport puppy is suitable for puppies over 16 weeks old to 8 months. You must attend Star Puppy or have equivalent behavior cues prior.Intro to agility is for dogs over 8 months or older. Classes are limited to 4 teams.
